Week 1: Study Smarter not harder


Goal: To list things that make studying go easier and faster, so that the time you spend studying is more effective.


Activity 1: Did You Know?

Directions:
1. Find your group and get your topic from Mrs. Miller (If you have a group of 3 then person 3 is a researcher and a presenter)
2. Person 1 researcher (looks up topic on their Ipad for the group)
3. Person 2 researcher (looks up topic on their Ipad for the group)
4. Person 3 scribe (the scribe must write down on a piece of paper the fact that person 1 finds).
5. Person 4 Presenter- (the presenter must present your groups findings to the class when it is their group's turn to share)

The Learning and Study Strategies Inventory - High School Version (LASSI-HS) is designed to gather
information about learning and study practices and attitudes. Upon submission and approval of your
institution number, 76 statements will be presented that relate to your knowledge of these areas.
If you are ready to begin, locate the following URL with your web browser:

This URL will direct you to a web page that contains directions for taking the LASSI-HS.
After you have
read these directions,
you must enter your school number to continue. Your school number is listed below
along with your user name and password. Type do not cut and paste or the password and username will not work.

After entering this information, the next screen to appear will ask you to enter your first and last name into
the spaces provided for the page to be submitted correctly. There is not ID number so leave that blank. The grade level will be 9th grade. The next
